Bishopdale Library, man choosing books

Bishop Sutton Library

Bishop Sutton Library exists as a library for the Church of Nelson! Membership is free for everyone (student or not), and we have a wide range of resources to suit you, whether you are looking for an inspirational read, some study resources, or more academic texts. Please pop in and visit us!

  • Over 10,000 books.

  • Practical resources for small groups and individuals, devotional materials, all the way through to academic texts.

  • Resources available cover discipleship, leadership and formation, theology, biblical studies, ministry, pastoral care, mission, church history and Anglicanism.

  • Books, journals and access to electronic resources.

If we don’t have the book you are looking for, one of our partner libraries probably do! Members are able to search the ANGLICAT catalogue via the John Kinder Library to access additional digital and physical resources.

If you wish to donate books or other resources to the library, we are currently accepting:

  • Any books related to New Zealand (any publication date)

  • Other books and resources which have been published since 1990. Please do not donate materials older than this.
